Tori Wrånes: Ældgammel Baby

Ældgammel Baby is Norwegian artist Tori Wrånes first solo exhibition in Denmark

Tori Wrånes (b. 1978) is especially known for her sculptural installations and striking performances. Her own body takes centre stage as she uses her voice as a powerful instrument and puts on strange masks and costumes that distort her appearance. Combined with props and fellow performers, the total effect is eerie, wonderful and dreamlike.

Tori Wrånes has a wide range of performances behind her, most recently as part of Do Disturb! at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, and her solo exhibition Hot Pocket is currently on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo.

The exhibition is curated by Henriette Bretton-Meyer and is realized with the support of the Danish Arts Foundation, the Obel Family Foundation, Nasjonalmuseet – the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen and Office for Contemporary Art Norway.

Opening reception September 15th 2017 from 6 PM
