Information and deadlines for 2022

During the autumn, there will be an information meeting and a Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts number of deadlines to get through the three above steps.  Below are all the relevant dates. Given that dates are subject to change, we ask applicants to keep a constant eye on the site.

Wednesday September 15, 2022: Information meeting at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts We recommend all applicants to attend, since our ability to answer general questions about applications is limited. Attending the meeting will be Maibritt Borgen (Associate Professor and acting head of the Laboratory for Art Research), a representative of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and a representative of the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies at the University of Copenhagen.

Venue: The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, The Hirschsprung Auditorium, Peder Skrams Gade 2, Stair A, Floor 3 (elevator to 3B)
Date: Wednesday 15 September
Time: 2.30 to 4.30 pm
There will also be the option of following the meeting on Zoom. If you wish to do so, please send an email to: stating “zoom link for information meeting” in the topic field

October 25 2022 (tentative date): The Novo Nordisk Foundation launches this year’s round of applications.

November 1 2022: Deadline for submitting a hosting agreement application to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Send your application via this link: https://candidate.hr-manager.net/ApplicationInit.aspx?cid=5001&ProjectId=159770&DepartmentId=8832&SkipAdvertisement=true

PhD applications must contain:
- Research Proposal (maximum 4000 characters including spaces)
- 1-page CV (size 12 font)
- 1-page list of publications (size 12 font)
- Visual portfolio of maximum 3 pages in length (Please do not provide links for further images on websites).
I- f you wish to be enrolled at the University of Copenhagen, you must complete and attach the following form: Download form from the University of Copenhagen

Postdoc applications must contain the following:
- Research Proposal (maximum 4000 characters including spaces)
- 1-page CV (size 12 font)
- 1-page list of publications (size 12 font)
- Visual portfolio of maximum 3 pages in length (Please do not provide links for further images on websites).
- The applicant must document qualifications on Ph.D.-level.

In the case of both types of application, applications that do not comply with the above maximum number of pages will not be considered.

November 9, 2022: The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Committee for research and Artistic Development holds a meeting to evaluate all applications.

November 10, 2022: Answers sent to applicants for hosting agreements. Applicants who are granted hosting agreements will be informed of the remaining process.

January 12, 2023: Final application deadline for the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The candidate is responsible for submitting the overall application.
